Apple may have only just launched the new 2018 iPhones but it's not done with new products for this year. The company has just announced an event at the end of this month for their upcoming iPad and Mac lineup refresh.
Apple began sending out invites for the October 30 launch event today, which will take place in Brooklyn, New York. Though they've not announced just what they're launching, as is usually the case, we're expected to see at least a couple of new iPad Pros, and several new Macs.
Interestingly, the invites themselves seem to be a few varieties of custom designs with a very artsy look. Likely then that's going to be the theme of the event, with how artists and design professionals can use the new devices, much as it was with the original iPad Pro.
The new iPad Pro is expected to have narrow bezels similar to the iPhone XS and XS Max, and has also been rumoured to have the now common notch and Face ID. It'll be the first time an Apple device other than an iPhone has the feature. Supposedly, the new iPad Pro will be available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch display sizes, and will also finally shift over from Lightning to USB-C ports.

The other expected device is the Macbook Air laptop, which has been overdue for a refresh. Previous reports in August had indicated it would have slimmer bezels as well, and hi-res Retina display. It's been stated that this would replace the old 12-inch MacBook as the entry-level laptop option.
Aside from that, you can also expect to see more details about iOS 12.1 and a watchOS update. Most of all though, fans are hoping to see some mention of AirPower, the Wireless charging mat Apple has been working on for a long time now. After it's absence at the iPhone launch event, this might be the last chance for the technology to ever appear from Apple. After all, development taking long enough to even delay an October launch would mean there's a big problem with the AirPower, and Apple might just end up cancelling it entirely.
